Tim Buckley

Counsellor

Tim is a fully qualified and accredited Counsellor. Tim holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Diploma of Counselling. Prior to setting up private practice in Ireland, Tim lived in Sydney, Australia where he trained as a Counsellor and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Over the past 10 years, he has worked in Senior Counsellor and Clinical Lead roles in adult mental health and substance use treatment settings, in both inpatient settings and in the community. Tim is an Accredited Counsellor member of the Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (APCP) in Ireland.

Tim works with you to develop a shared understanding of your concerns, before discussing suitable treatment options. His approach incorporates a range of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-focussed Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and EMDR, depending on the presenting issue and needs of the client. Safety, confidentiality and respect for the preferences, values, and needs of each client is at the heart of the process. Tim works with individuals, couples and families.
