Elizabeth believes in treating the individual in a holistic way, which involves taking account of the mind, body and spirit. It is well documented that stress contributes to the majority of ailments and can affect our physical and mental well-being. Elizabeth is committed to helping her client’s avail of the healing power of massage and reflexology by reducing stress and relieving muscular tension.
Elizabeth enjoys experimenting with blends of essential oils to help create an atmosphere that encourages relaxation.
Over the past five years Elizabeth has practiced reflexology with children with Autism in a school setting. Elizabeth tries to accommodate the child’s individual needs and work on creating a stress free environment by diffusing a blend of essential oils, using meditative music in the background and providing a relaxing and comforting foot or hand massage.
This is the use of essential oils from plants for their therapeutic properties. Some oils are used for calming such as Chamomile, lavender and geranium.
Other oils are used for their uplifting properties for example Rose, Neroli or Clarysage.
Rosemary would be considered energizing.
Eucalyptus or tea tree can be used as a decongestant.
During the consultation with the client, essential oils are selected based on the Client’s specific needs and preferences and a blend is made for use with a carrier massage oil such as sweet almond or grapeseed.
A massage treatment consists of using massage techniques such as effleurage, kneading, friction and percussion, to promote good health and relaxation. A consultation is carried out before your massage treatment so that it can be tailored to suit the individual needs of each client.

In reflexology, the feet are used to treat the whole body by applying pressure to certain points on the feet by doing so the whole body can be balanced.

Indian Head Massage
During this treatment, the head, neck, shoulders and face are massaged. This specific treatment is excellent for releasing stress and tension. It relives stiffness in the neck and shoulders.
It also helps mobility and flexibility in the shoulders, neck and arms.
